Remember me?

I have been informed by J1 that it has been "over 5 months" since I last contributed to this blog, and he is right.

Oops.

Anyway it's been busy around here! And that's no excuse, because there's no one busier than J1 is, but he just manages his time better, obviously. That and maybe it's because I'm too busy screwing around on my iPhone in my spare time.

But without further adieu...
Allow me to contribute!

So yes, it's been an eventful start to 2010.
We had J1's parents for a week in January, followed by a trip to Cape Town in February, followed by the arrival of my parents in March!

What we also had was our 8-year-anniversary celebration on the 2nd of March (with my parents) as well as my [you guess which number] birthday on the 8th. In between, we some how managed to keep up with our running club, the SPCA committee, my last year of Post-graduate studies, and work, work, work. Work. and some more work.

The trip to Cape Town was a real winner, because we managed for once to go somewhere and literally sit still for 3 days and relax. Including.... sleeping in, eating out, and enjoying a break from the 45-degree C/113-degree F weather we've been having in Gabs this summer. If you don't believe me (because maybe you're one of the parents/inlaws who just happened to visit during a beautifully cool freak spell of weather) it was 43 yesterday... and has been for the last 5 days. Ouch. But anyway, J3 really enjoyed her first trip out of the country, and she was very well behaved on all 4 airplane flights that we had to take.

It's good that we get her used to flying because she's going to have a few more flights under her belt before the end of 2010, and they're not going to just be 2-hour ones, either!

Here are some photos of what's been going on around these parts, to catch up with.
